Up to. Up to? Up to?!

I finally got Rome a sippy cup. He *hearts* it! But I don't think he gets how to drink out of it very well... Yesterday I was SO THIRSTY, so i unscrewed the lid to have a gulp & saw tons of narsty baby phlegm backwash in it & changed my mind...

This was taken before church one day... I combed his hair over to the side and had to snap a pic before it got messed up 2 seconds later.

KiSsSsEs
As much as he acts like he hates them (sometimes he grunts and pushes me away), I KNOW he really likes it. He's just trying to be cool for his friends.

Dean made me lunch one day & I thought it looked extra gourmet... I like how he wrote my name on my wrap! Interesting... =D

SPLASH PARK

"AAAAAH! I'm so exciiiiiiiiited!"

I don't think he realized it was okay to open his eyes...

Blue Steel

I was busy taking pics, & didn't realize this fountain starts out small, but then shoots up about 4 ft... Ooops.

DALLAS

My sis gave us a gift certificate last year to stay at the Hilton in Arlington for 2 nights. (It was up for auction @ her work, but since everyone AT the auction lived in N.C., nobody really thought they'd use it... so that's how we ended up with it!) We finally got around to using it this past wkend b/c Dean needed to go up to Dallas to take his physical fitness test for the Marines. It just so happened that the place he needed to be was just a few buildings away from this hotel! We think it was destiny... ;)

This is where Rome played. He was obSESSed with his reflection the entire time we were there! We shouldn't have even bothered bringing toys for him- he was having so much fun staring/squealing/grabbing the baby in the mirror.

We ate at Boston's & Dean gave Rome a lemon. He actually liked it, & didn't even make a funny sour-face for the camera.

This was the view outside our ginormous window... SIX FLAGS! It was AWESOME! We felt like we were there even though we didn't go! We could hear the roller coasters and people screaming throughout our whole trip =)

I LOVE theme parks, but we weren't there long enough to go. Plus it wouldn't have been much fun to ride by ourselves while the other one held Rome. Double plus- it was 103 degrees outside. ACK!

However, we did consider leaving Rome asleep in the Hotel while the 2 of us hopped over for some thrills, but decided it wouldn't be very nice to leave him out on all the fun :)

We relaxed at the pool, ate scrumptious breakfasts, played at the gym, went to the mall, slept in the most comfortable feather bed ever, threw our towels on the floor for the maid...
Oh, & we ate at the Cheesecake Factory... mMmMmMmMmMmMmMm. That's all I have to say about that! Oh how I miss the city...

But, the best part about our trip was being able to spend time as a family without homework or class or any sort of law school thing to interrupt us. Rome got so attached to Dean this wkend...
he whined for 1/2 an hour when Dean left for Barbri Monday night. And so the separation anxiety begins...

Wow! You guys really were RIGHT next to 6 flags. Kinda fun that you could hear the rides! Looks like a fun trip. Glad to finally see some pics.

How PRESH does Rome look eating that lemon. So innocently going in for a taste of sour yumminess...and he didn't even make a face! My kids did the same thing.

Also, Dean might just win hubs of the year award for making you a fancy schmancy lunch...giving you 3 different sauces for your wrap and then ever so creatively writing your name in cheese? Wow. I'm impressed. Although, I need to know what the heck is the thing with the egg in the middle?
